Review of OPI's "Need Sunglasses?"

Bought some OPI nail laquers a few days ago, so instead of doing homework, I'm blogging about it. This shade was really nice, only downside was that my blue hair started to rub off on it, and it took a lot of coats to get a nice shade. I put Turquoise Shatter over this, I'll be sure to post soon!

You're S-Teal the One Review

So I bought my first Nicole OPI or OPI nail polish...and I don't think I'll buy one again. It chipped today very visibly, and I bought it on the 26th. I think I put it on that day, so it chipped in 4 days....not too impressive for a seven dollar nail polish. The shade is lovely, though. I also used the top coat plus (from Nicole), but it still didn't last.

Silver and Black Marble

So, today I decided to enter O.P.I.'s contest to win Nicole O.P.I. polishes. How awesome would it be to be able to use those instead of my $2 nail polish? Barcode on silver

So, today's art is a barcode design on Sally Hansen's "Celeb City" polish. I tried something different, I used tissue paper to transfer the image, and used acetone, instead of the usual ethyl alcohol, and this seems to have worked much better! I didn't even need to cut the paper in the shape of my nails! Let me know what you all think!

Turquoise Shatter

So, reviews for Turquoise Shatter! Altogether, I am pretty pleased with the look, the shade is lovely, like the water of Hawaii a few miles out...this picture doesn't do the shade justice. I saw it in the salon and wanted to buy it, but they only had the salon one they use, but found it when travelling.
Anyway, I used Sally Hansen's silver, with a clear coat. I discovered that unlike the Black Shatter, the Turquoise didn't shatter well over glittered surfaces. This led me to want to experiment...I got some plastic strips to use as paint swatches, and will post the results later, since some colors definitely work better with certain Shatters.

Seche Restore

I bought this the other week for my Shatter polish. It's a common problem that Shatter polishes clump after use, my black was so clumped, making a brush stroke was difficult. Adding this thinned it, for about the cost of a new bottle of Shatter, but you can use it way more times on different bottles. I'll post a picture of my turquoise Shatter I'm wearing now tomorrow.

New bag!

While on vacation, I found this adorable fanny pack! It's really convenient, it has lots of pockets and is really comfortable.  It's just enough to carry my phone, iPod, DS, and my money and planner as well as a few other random things.  It came in pink, blue, lime green, black and beige, but I chose blue, as you can see.  This is from the Lanai Transit line, I believe designed by Elise Tran, or her company...
